TR Gold Club was created because school budgets and seasonal booster efforts, while valuable, can only fund the baseline. Year after year, critical needs go unmet: aging equipment, limited travel opportunities, leadership development, facility upgrades, and the culture-building work that shapes student-athletes into leaders. We were formed to provide long-term, strategic, and sustainable investment in Travelers Rest Athletics — filling the gaps that no budget line and no single fundraising season can close.
Building a truly exceptional athletic program requires more than a season. It requires a community of investors committed across years, not just games. TR Gold Club was built to be that vehicle — connecting alumni, families, businesses, and neighbors in a shared mission that outlasts any single season, coach, or class.

How We Operate
Operated through TurnAround Ministries — TR Gold Club is structured as a protected charitable fund operated through TurnAround Ministries, a recognized nonprofit organization. This structure ensures donor gifts are tax-deductible, properly receipted, and managed under established nonprofit accountability standards.
The club is guided by a community Review Board that provides local oversight, evaluates funding priorities, and ensures resources are directed to the highest-impact needs. Board members are drawn from alumni, parents, educators, and community leaders who care about Travelers Rest Athletics.
Every funding decision is reviewed and documented. TR Gold Club is committed to publishing an annual impact summary so donors and supporters can see exactly where their support goes.
How We Fit In
TR Gold Club was built to complement, not compete with, the hard work already happening at Travelers Rest. The school athletic department, coaches, and existing booster groups all play a critical role — and we respect and appreciate everything they do for our student-athletes.
The Gold Club exists to fill the gap between what normal budgets and seasonal fundraising can provide and what it actually takes to build an elite, character-driven athletic program over the long term. We fund the needs that fall outside normal operating budgets: facility upgrades, leadership development programs, travel opportunities, equipment investments, and community-building initiatives.
